This Privacy Policy describes how ProWeather ("we", "our", or "us") handles your information when you use our mobile application.
1. INFORMATION WE PROCESS
ProWeather is designed to prioritize user privacy. We do not directly collect or store your personal information on our servers.
Location Data:
- When you grant location permission, we use your device's GPS coordinates solely to fetch weather data for your current location.
- Location data is processed locally on your device and sent directly to the OpenWeatherMap API.
- We do not store or track your location history.
Search History:
- City search history is stored locally on your device only.
- This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
2. ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS
ProWeather displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free access to the app.
Google AdMob:
AdMob may collect and process certain data including:
- Advertising ID (a unique identifier for advertising purposes)
- Device information (model, operating system version)
- IP address (used for approximate location and ad personalization)
- App usage data (interactions with ads, app session duration)
This data is used to serve personalized advertisements and measure ad performance.

Your Choices:
- You can control ad personalization through the consent dialog shown when you first use the app.
- On Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- You can also purchase the "Remove Ads" option within the app to disable all advertisements.
3. IN-APP PURCHASES
ProWeather offers an optional in-app purchase to remove advertisements:
- Payment processing is handled securely by Google Play Billing.
- We do not collect or store your payment information.
- Purchase history is managed by Google Play and tied to your Google account.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use the following third-party services:
OpenWeatherMap API:
- Used to provide weather forecasts.
- Your coordinates or searched city names are sent to their servers.

5. DATA SECURITY
Weather data and search history are processed locally on your device. We do not maintain external servers that collect or store this information.
Advertising data is collected and processed by Google AdMob in accordance with their privacy practices and security measures.
6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
ProWeather does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. The app is not directed to children under 13.
7. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- The right to access data collected about you
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to opt out of personalized advertising
